Windows® look and feel - Built for Windows 95® (and later versions) Terrapin offers a user interface that will be familiar to all users of the latest Windows® operating systems.
Firewall and Proxy Support - Terrapin FTP can be configured to work through a firewall, FTP Proxy or an HTTP Proxy and gives the full FTP command set.
Simultaneous Server and Local Views - Terrapin FTP allows you to view both the remote server and your local computer simultaneously.
Drag and Drop - You can transfer files (upload and download) by simply dragging and dropping between the Server and Local Views.
Right Click Drag and Drop - Right click drag and drop gives additional transfer options.
Password protection - Server Site Maps can be password protected.

Optional Keep Retrying if Connection Fails - You can opt for Terrapin to keep retrying to connect if an attempt fails.
Web Upload Wizard - If you want to publish a web site on the Internet then Terrapin FTP has a complete upload wizard that will take you through all the steps necessary to publish your site. The wizard comes with an HTML Link Checker which will inform you if links to other pages or images have errors (see below). If errors are found you will be given the opportunity to fix them before transferring the files.
HTML Link Checker - Terrapin FTP comes with an HTML Link Checker which can be used independently of the Web Upload Wizard. 
Directory Drag Drop - You can upload the contents of a directory/folder including all subfolders and files with a single drag and drop.
Transfer if Newer - When either sending or receiving directories you can opt only to transfer files which are newer.

Transfer if Modified - You can set the specified period and only transfer files that have been modified in the last x number of days.
Directory Delete - With Terrapin FTP you can delete a directory and all its contents with one click of the mouse.
Reconcile Directories - Within the drag drop directory function you can reconcile remote and local directories. Whether uploading (or downloading) with this feature Terrapin FTP will make all the necessary file transfers and deletions to ensure that the remote server is exactly the same as your local computer (and vice versa when downloading).
Move Files Remotely - With Terrapin you can drag file(s) between folders on the remote server.
Transfer Between Servers - If supported by both servers you can drag files or directories between two different servers by opening more than one instance of Terrapin FTP and dragging the required file(s) between the two instances. Files are transferred directly for one server to the other without going via your computer.
Custom Commands - Custom/quoted commands can be created, saved and edited.

WWW and FTP - Terrapin will accept ftp URL's dragged from the leading Web Browsers. Retrieving a file using Terrapin FTP is likely to be faster than your Web Browser and should the connection be broken the transfer may be restarted from the point of failure.
Browse Off-Line - Terrapin FTP Browser builds a sever site map each time you visit a server. The site map contains all your connection details and a file tree representation of all the files and folders on the server. Site maps can be browsed off-line. Terrapin will only try to connect when you transfer a file, refresh a directory or move outside the area which the site map covers. The folders are colour coded to indicate whether the contents are held locally, or whether a connection needs to be made. Site maps can be password protected.
Resume Interrupt Transfers - If the connection should fail or be broken during a file transfer Terrapin FTP Browser will let you resume the transfer from the point at which the transfer failed - even after shutdown.
Archie Search - Terrapin comes with its own Archie Search engine which enables you to search the Internet for the file you want. There is also a ...Find File menu item which searches Site Maps for the file.

Macro Record - Terrapin allows you to record and save a series of FTP transaction over any number of FTP sites and re-play in one online session. If you regularly maintain the contents of a remote server or regularly transfer updates, you can record the transfers in a Macro which can be run whenever you wish. Terrapin can work with your scheduler to enable you to launch Terrapin FTP and run a Macro at any pre-configured time.
Tag Files - From the Terrapin Site Maps you can tag many files in any number of directories and then retrieve them all in one on-line operation.
View only New or Modified Files - You can choose to view only files on the server that are new or have been changed since you last visited the site. This makes finding updates quick and easy.
View Files on Server - Text files on the server can be viewed and downloaded simultaneously allowing you to assess the file before it is fully downloaded and abort if you so wish.
Apply Indexes - Terrapin gives you the option to apply indexes from the Server to give the files meaningful descriptions. Terrapin also allows you to apply a local index.
Transfer Statistics - Transfer statistics are kept giving the performance of Servers visited allowing you to choose which Servers offers the best transfer times.
